About The Journal
Guidelines for Authors
Format of Articles
Articles for publication should be forwarded to the Editor, e-mail
editor@acfe.org.au. Otherwise, post to the Editor, Journal of Christian Education, PO Box 602, Epping, NSW 1710, Australia.
Please note the following requirements:
- The preferred option for sending your article to the editor is as an e-mailed attachment file in Word or Rich Text Format. Initially, there is no need for a hard copy to be sent. Alternatively, the article may be sent on a CD with an accompanying hard copy.
- Please format your article as double-spaced on A4 paper, Margins at the top and bottom of the page should measure at least two centimetres and on the left and right at least three centimetres. The preferred font is Times New Roman, 12 point size.
- To facilitate blind review, ensure that the author’s name or easily identifiable personal details are not included in the article. Instead, provide on a separate cover sheet full address details, both e-mail and postal.
- Articles exceeding 6,000 words will be published only in exceptional circumstances.
Textual Conventions
The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association is used to guide the format and style of the Journal of Christian Education.
An example of this format can be seen in the
“Sample Article” in the website.
Endnotes should be used sparingly, when authors wish to (a) amplify or qualify a point in a way that would otherwise break the flow of the text, or (b) make cross-references or acknowledgements.
